Tour Journal
Let the tour begin!
Today is the first day of the cross-country American Liberty Tour. Throughout the day I’ll be posting blog entries, photos, and videos documenting the events and, more importantly, the people we meet.
This tour is a chance for all of us, the mob, not only to meet each other and to look at what we can do next, but for us to redefine ourselves on OUR terms. From Nancy Pelosi to CNN, from The New York Times to even semi-reliable WSJ.com, conservative Americans, libertarian Americans, concerned citizens of this country are mocked. We are called a rabid mob. We are called racists. We are called teabaggers. But I know, and you know, that we are the authentic America. We are parents worried about the debt being promised our children. We are sons and daughters worried about parents’ health care. We are firefighters and soldiers, waiters and truck drivers, secretaries and nurses and teachers and preachers and … and we are speaking up.
This is America. Out here on this tour, we will use our voices and our numbers will, must, be heard. We will not be intimidated or mocked into silence any longer. DEFIANCE, not fear.
Today is about liberty. This tour is about our liberty. I hope to meet you along the way.

I will see you at Keiner Plaza in St Louis. I doubt I can make the activist training or breakfeast. But I work just down the street from Keiner.
