The crew will begin posting updates regularly as the departure date nears. Each crew member will be keeping a video log as well as regular posts here at AmericanLibertyTour.com.

It will be nice to see you in St Louis. Maybe I can hitch a ride to Nashville for the ROOTSHQ.

I think we might be able to work something out.
Comment by Eric Odom — July 7, 2009 @ 1:28 pm
Hooray! I hope every American gets to see the tour. Our country is in dire straights and we need people to get active in what the politicians are doing to us!
Comment by Monica — July 7, 2009 @ 1:55 pm
Are you going to be coming to CT, too?
Comment by opghost — July 7, 2009 @ 4:23 pm
Do you plan to bring the tour to the Northeast states? I think you’d get a huge turnout in CT!
Thank you for all you are doing to promote liberty and encourage grassroots organizations made up of citizens who want our country back!

Thank you for all the work you have done to get the Nation’s people energized. We need to take back our country from those who want to destroy it and remake it in their own image. We fought hard to acheive a nation that is envied the world over. Now, you can count on my participation in righting an awful wrong. May God bless us in our endeavor.

My wife and I will be in Charlotte on the 10Th of October to take part in this historic event, and will contact others to join us there.

I won’t be able to make it to any place you are going but I invite all of you to come to Search Light Nevada, Harry Reid’s home town on September 26th for a Rally against Senator Reid. We will be gathering in Search Light at 11:00 AM for speaches and protests against what is happening at Harry Reid’s leardership in the Senate. Please join us.
Comment by LaJuana — July 22, 2009 @ 8:46 pm
How about visiting Michigan. Detroit is a ghost town after the Automotive industry has been decimated. The official unemployment rate in MI is 15.2%. The real number probably is over 20%
We need our manufaturing base back. Nobody seems to understand that a country that is not producing anything will turn into a 3rd world country. China and India are booming and we are going into the history’s trash bin. What previous generations have created was givven for free to communist China.
Comment by Alphonso — July 23, 2009 @ 7:08 am
You’d be most welcome and much needed in Las Vegas, bay-bee! We’re a purple state, under Dingy-Harry Reid’s thumb.

Thank You

Is there someone in California, near Modesto who is heading a group? If someone would send me a message I would be most happy to help in anyway I can.
Weve got to stop this slaughter house attitude that
Washinton is trying to push down our throats.
Good Luck with the Tour and make sure they know we are not going to take it laying down.
Comment by Dolores Hays — July 30, 2009 @ 2:44 am
Kathe,
I live on Long Island also. New York is pretty hopeless, isn’t it?
We have noplace to turn.
I wish all you folks on the tour good luck.
I’ll be checking this site to see how you are doing.
Thanks.

Dear Concerned Fellow Americans:
God Bless the people putting their hearts and souls into the American Liberty Alliance, Tea Party Patriots, Amrican Majority and a host of others who are leading the “Citizens” movement across the country.
All this work being done for our country is critical. I’m afraid, however, that much, if not all of the work will be all for naught unless direct Federal taxation of Americans under the 16th Amendment is ended. The replacement will be the CONSTITUTIONAL SUPPORT TAX (CST).
Direct Federal taxation creates an ever-growing, ever-being-replenished pool of tax dollars controlled by a deeply entrenched spending industry in Washington. Until the Federal budgeting process is placed under control of the People through the States, this entrenched spending industry will have control over us. The CST will achieve this end of budget process control.
1. Here is how the CST will work (Point 3 is the “theme” of the email):
(The numbering of the paragraphs is to make it easier for a reader to identify the place where there is a question. It is not intended as a formal or informal outline.)
2. The CONSTITUTIONAL SUPPORT TAX (CST) is an integrated budgeting/spending/taxation system that will end Federal direct taxation on the American people and businesses by repealing the 16th Amendment with a 28th Amendment. A 29th Amendment will then be added to the Constitution to implement the CST. Under the 29th Amendment, direct Federal taxes of any form on people or businesses, whether income, cap-and-trade, social security, Medicare, capital gain, estate, gross receipt or franchise taxes on corporations or anything else that might be attempted in the future will be ended. Permanently.
3. Under the CST the GENERAL BUDGET EXPENDITURES (GBEs) of the Federal government (explained below, point 12) will be divided among the States by a statistically sound formula, the “1040 formula,” that will give a fair-to-all-States apportionment of those GBEs. It will then be up to the people of each State to decide how they will tax themselves to pay their ratable share of those GBEs.
4. Here is a step-by-step on how the 1040 formula will be developed:
5. Each individual (or married couple), will need to prepare for their own records a GREATLY REDUCED Form 1040. This 1040 will end at the TOTAL INCOME line (Line 22 on the 2008 1040.) Even people with high incomes and complicated personal finances will have much simpler tax returns.
6. The taxpayer(s) will file two secured postcards reporting the Line 22 income. One with the revenue department of their state of residence. The second with the IRS. (The Internal Revenue Code as we know it will have disappeared with the repeal of the 16th. The IRS will be a far different agency. A replacement Federal Revenue Code of no more than a hundred pages or so will be needed to detail the workings of the CST. Duties, Imposts and Excises of Article 8, Section 1 of the Constitution will be unchanged by the CST.)
7. It will be the responsibility of the revenue departments and the IRS to total the amounts and compare the names on the secured postcards each receives to determine a TOTAL STATE INCOME for each State. In the end, the total dollars determined by the States and the IRS should be equal.
8. The IRS will total the 51 TOTAL STATE INCOME amounts. (For purposes of the CST, the District of Columbia will be considered a State, hence 51.) This will give a TOTAL NATIONAL INCOME amount.
9. The percentage that the TOTAL STATE INCOME of each State contributes to TOTAL NATIONAL INCOME (100%) will then be calculated to 7 or 8 decimal places. The percentages will be applied to the total GENERAL BUDGET EXPENDITURES (point 12 below) to determine how much each State must pay. Again, the citizens of each State, by whatever method they choose, will determine how to tax themselves to pay their share of the GBEs.
10. The focus of attention now shifts to the yearly development of the Federal budget by Congress.
11. The expenditures in the budget will be divided into two categories. First, DEDICATED EXPENDITURES. These expenditures will be funded by user fees. For example, charges to ranchers for grazing cattle on Federal land. Charges to forest products companies to cut timber on Federal land. Gasoline taxes for use in highway construction and maintenance. User fee charges will be for covering the expenses associated with activities of the dedicated purpose. User fees will be used for their dedicated purposes only. No borrowing for other purposes.
12. The second category will be GENERAL BUDGET EXPENDITURES. Essentially these will be all nondedicated expenditures currently in the Federal Budget, including Social Security and Medicare. The dollar spending for any one year will be determined by the same budgeting process the Congress and Executive departments use today.
13. The percentage that each State’s TOTAL STATE INCOME contributes to the TOTAL NATIONAL INCOME as computed in step 9 will then come back into the picture. The percentage will be applied to the GBEs to determine the dollar amount of tax each State must pay for the next upcoming fiscal year.
14. With the CST there are going to be multiple constraints on Federal spending growth. A few of them are:
15. The first constraint will be the fact that the Federal Government will need to look to the States to obtain funds to operate. When the Congress goes through the budgeting process, it will be forced to remember that whatever dollar total it decides upon will need to be “sold” to the States. The “protective buffer” wall provided to the States by Article 1 Section 9, paragraph 4 of the Constitution will be pulled out of the state of suspended animation into which the 16th Amendment placed it.
16. Constraint two. In relatively short order the thousands of State and local officials across the country will become an unofficial fraternal organization to “keep the money at home”, rather than send it to Washington D.C. Even the most far left, big spending State Governors and legislatures will have an eye to keep the money at home. These thousands of state and local officials will serve as a counterweight offset to the multifaceted body of Federal officials and money seekers now picking the taxpayers pockets.
17. Constraint three. There will be much more public attention to the Federal Budgeting process. People in every State will want to know the percentage that their STATE TOTAL INCOME will be contributing to the TOTAL NATIONAL INCOME. From there they will want to know the number of dollars of the GBEs they will be required to pay. Right now, at a conservative estimate, Michigan will need to pay over $100 billion dollars of GBEs. For New York it would be about $200 billion. When the word gets out among the citizens of every State that their total tax burden will be in the tens of billions, or even hundreds of billions of dollars, heavy pressure will be imposed on Congress to cut spending.
18. Constraint four. According to the Preamble of the U.S. Constitution, the only thing that the Federal Government is to PROVIDE (pay) for is “common defence.” The people running our current Federal Government (that is far beyond it Constitutional bounds) will undoubtedly try to continue making it grow in areas that have nothing to do with “common defence.” With broad public attention in the future on the budget development/spending/taxation process a new sense of the Constitutional limitations on the Federal Government should arise in citizen thinking. A broad public reeducation on the Constitution will come into the public debate. Even, perhaps, into school classrooms across our land.
19. Constraint five. Many commentators have said “follow the money” when watching the actions of people. At this point, with one monopolistic nationwide system of coming up with tax money to pay for Federal spending, we have a concentration of power in Federal government about which the Founding Fathers and others have issued numerous warnings. With each State determining how it will raise money to pay for its GBEs, there will be a substantial transfer and diffusion of power out of Washington D.C. to the State capitols and localities. This diffusion of money and power will be a fifth constraint.
Thank you for your time, attention and consideration.

thx for this assembly of patriots. i would like to attend the meeting on 30 sept as that is the closest meeting to me. i am very pleased to listen to joe the plumber. there is no need for him to talk country or cool, he sounds just fine being “naturally right”. We must get in their face to restore this nation. i also would like to see repeal of the 16th & 17th amendment that would lead to the arrest of the Federal Reserve Bankers, to seize their property and to jail with the crooks that are robbing the treasury. Restore the appointment of senators to the state legislatures. tj

more sites in CA would be very helpful!!!! You have 3 or 4 stops in Florida but only 1 California. I realize that we are a winner take all state and it has traditionally been a Democratic take all but we are hoping to change that! We have the most electoral votes of any state in the union and it would be nice if everyone would start taking notice of that fact and not give up on us. If anyone has experience in getting their state’s legislature changed so that they get proportional representation please post as 55 electors cannot just sit by and all vote for the person that got the most votes if it is only 1% more than the other guy. It is just WRONG and it needs to be changed. There are lots of us Californians that are tired of Socialism and now is the time for us to be heard!

I tried to click on St. Louis, and got a note saying, “are you lost?” with no further information. Will you still be in St. Louis? I don’t know what the problem is, but I tried clicking it 3 times. Please advise as I would love to join in, in St. Louis,MO…..We must keep at it. It looks as if Obama has gotten his “goons” involved now at town halls…..SEIU, ACORN…..how can a community organizer be upset when grassroots folks are protesting now? Isn’t that what he used to promote? Thanks for doing these tours….we need to stay motivated.

Thank you for your COMMITMENT to OUR Country. I would encourage every american to keep the pressure on these elected officials. Either they represent US & NOT special interest groups OR they get voted out of office. If we cannot or won’t (specific to our constitutional values) for the sake of our children / grandchildren then it will be US that has let this country evolve into socialism.

WHO ARE THESE PROTESTERS?
“If you want to know, go to the source to find out.”
Who are we? Most of us are like most of you. We hate politics, or we love it. We are very private people, or we are very open. We are everything inbetween. We are the self-employed, the unemployed, the employer, the employee, and the retired. We are rich, we are poor, and we are everything inbetween.
We are of all races. We are mothers, sisters, daughters, fathers, brothers, and sons. We are your friends. We are Republicans, Democrats, Independants, and Constitutionalists. We are all political parties and no political party at all. We are a melting pot called Americans.
We have full lives to which we attend and would rather be there than protesting here. But, we love our country. Our country we were raised to know and love. We are troubled with what we have seen going on for many, many years. We became scared of our own government. We became so scared that we became silent, then we became angry, and we are now willing to stand up, stand out, and be vocal. We were scared, but now we are empowered in our hearts for re-establishing freedom, for it is freedom that makes this country great. And it is freedom we shall have.
We will continue to stand up and to stand out, and if necessary shout out until our public servants hear, listen, understand, and obey the Constitution in the spirit it was written by the founders. We we will not go away, and we will make our country free again.
We have grown angry because elected officals sworn to serve and protect us have intentionally lied to us and we have caught them. They have promised peace and safety, but are continually expanding conflicts based upon lies for lust of money and power. They have taken our gold and silver giving us fiat paper always losing its purchasing power. They have knowlingly tortured, abused, and killed us with with secretive medical expeiments from Tuskegee, to MK Ultra, to Guantánamo and try to hide it but we have caught them and their medical industrial complex. They have committed high crimes in office and we have caught them. They tax us to levels far beyond that of King George’s England so that our debt is more than can be paid in a lifetime making us no better than serfs. They have caused far more injustices to We the People than can be written, and we are awakening to more each day.
No more.
We no longer believe you because of the lies.
We no longer trust you because of injustices and injuries.
We quit spending our money because you won’t quit spending our money.
We read the legislation because you won’t and we don’t like what we see.
We do not think you should be shocked to see us angry and not believing you, then say you don’t get it. We are not supprized that you call us names, as name calling is the resort of the factless, the preprogrammed, or the elitest mindset.
We are getting less disappointed with each new and increasingly radical term with which you try to catagorize and demonize us. We know you are only attempting to polarize us into preprogramed camps, so you can rationalize your continued abuse of us. Divide and conquer will no longer work. We see organizations trying to claim us or blame us, but that is not who we are. We are the people. We demand humble, honest, public servants, not name-calling bullies in office or the press, or their gangs of black shirts, brown shirts, red shirts, or purple shirts.
We are standing united
We are growing
We are surrounding you
We are coming to hold you accountable
We are the awakening giant
We are the American people
We are freedom

I also want to thank you for getting one done in Columbus ohio. I read many comments about the taxes
and how to fix them. Isn’t it ironic that Putin has a 15% FLAT tax in Russia and he wrote that we are rushing to Socialist solutions while they and China are trying to incorporate ‘free market’ forces. Obama is a Radical surrounded by Socialist/ Communist
radials that mean to take down our free markets and substitute a huge growth in all levels of gov. to ‘control’ evrything america does. A Marine in a video ent bonkers about them putting wordsin the ‘Stimulus’ about rules for ‘pottie training’ children-because that level of invasion of our privacy”- that’s frighting!!! I also want to thank all those who partisipate in public Tea parties because I see’normal’ people with their kids in tow not the union goons ‘who are PAID to show up and that try to disrupt you. All the homemade signs are on point rather than the union ones that SEIU/UAW/ have union made with some type of ‘dumb’ short hate signs.
Comment by John — August 25, 2009 @ 1:32 am
Let’s get something straight – the Tea Party does not advocate frivilous filing. The income tax is constitutional and the Tea Party strives to make the income tax system more efficient.
Those who assert that the current income tax is unconstitutional are legally incorrect. If one files a tax return based on these incorrect beliefs, they will face interest, penalties and possibly jail time.
Tea Party is about freedom – not freakdom!

I am 56 years old and cannot believe what I am reading. These groups are anti-American. They stand for everything the Constitution does not say.Yes, you have freedom of speech, so you can shout down a person in a wheelchair and tell her to enjoy her moment on TV. This was cheered by your people, the anti healthcare, anti-life, anti-democracy and anti- Obama. I am shocked to see the blatant racism that exists particularly in the central and southern parts of the country. This is also what you are teaching your children, to grow and become bigots and racists just like their role models, you are doing. Do you have any idea what you are doing to the country and to individuals with the same rights as you have. Who is funding this? The sources listed at the bottom? Who is funding those sources? They could not be related to the American Fundamentalist movement, could they? Those who hide in small cells (groups of people), who do not write things down, but pass important information onto the leader above thus preventing any records being found. Look for the bottom line buck, or perhaps you know that already and are proud about it. If you are receiving “underground” funding, tax free, declare it, do not hide. Why hide? Why not state who is paying Joe the Plumber, a great historian and intellectual speaker, well versed in the Constitution and religious freedom. Ask Joe where he used to go to church, ask Joe about his salary. Ask who is paying for those “working” with you, who are afraid to come to the NE. The woman from CT could not be more mistaken. You are not welcome in DE. We have better sense and avoid the misnamed “grass roots” groups. This is not a grass roots group. Why not present yourselves as you really are? Are you afraid to let people know the depths to which you have gone to separate this country that was unified on election day and beyond?
Do you not find your behavior hypocritical? Have you looked up the definition? I doubt it. Please stop poisoning the minds of our children. Please stop using dirty money to harm people and prevent them from receiving health care and please stop using the name of God to do this.
